Premium Dry Ice Delivered in Tampa

Dry ice in Tampa is created through the sublimation of carbon dioxide gas. This process involves pressurizing and cooling the gas to an extremely low temperature of -78.5°C (-109.3°F). The gas is then rapidly expanded, freezing into fine particles which are compacted into solid blocks or pellets. Dry ice pellets are cylindrical, measuring about 3/4” in diameter and 1”- 2” in length. When exposed to normal atmospheric conditions, these pellets sublimate directly from solid to gas, releasing carbon dioxide and creating a characteristic fog that provides a moisture-free freezing solution. Our solid cubes, ideal for larger shipments, also sublimate directly from solid to gas, minimizing water damage and ensuring contamination-free storage for perishable or thermo-sensitive items. A typical dry ice block weighs 50 lbs with dimensions of 10”x10”x12”. These can be cut into different sizes, with common slices being 10”x10”x2” (10 lbs) or 10”x5”x2” (5 lbs). Due to higher compression rates, dry ice blocks last longer than other forms, offering a prolonged freezing effect.
